The BBN Coffee Club program is designed to extend business networking opportunities within individual local shopping centres and surrounding areas. It requires one business in each centre to host this program.
How it works The Host business will arrange a gathering at a set time, determined by the businesses, on a regular basis, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. This could occur during a morning time slot say between 10.30 and 11.30am - prior to the busy lunch period; at lunch time if this suits business activities or in the afternoon.
Business Showcase At each gathering one business (BBN member) would be invited to showcase/ promote their business with a brief introduction/ presentation. This business would also offer a small item to raffle - this could be a product from your store - a floral arrangement, food tray/ basket, chocolates or voucher for a product or service. All businesses would provide a business card for the raffle draw.
Notification and Attendance: All businesses in the centre should be invited to the Coffee Club gathering. Business representatives can be contacted by email, phone or in person. People are free to attend for whatever length of time is manageable to them. This may be 10 mins up to the full allocated hour. An agenda would be useful so that businesses are aware of the business showcase and raffle times.
Venue: A coffee shop in the centre may be the most appropriate location. However, other businesses may have a tea room, or adequate space where local businesses can comfortably meet and network. In fine weather, the gathering could occur on a verandah in front of the premises, with an umbrella and table for coffee and refreshments.
